Montgomery is a long established medical practice aiming to provide the highest standard of care by embracing modern technology whilst, at the same time, preserving the traditional values of family medicine. 

Our premises are purpose-built, spacious and fully accessible to the disabled. We believe in giving our patients time and necessary explanation so that they can understand the nature of their illness. We will try to show how patients can help themselves to lead healthier lifestyles. Our main site is based in the historic market town, Montgomery - SY15 6PF  We also have a branch site in the neighbouring town of Newtown - SY16 1AF.  We are a breast feeding friendly practice.

This is a long established medical practice aiming to provide the highest standard of care by embracing modern technology whilst, at the same time, preserving the traditional values of family medicine. Currently the practice has around 7800 patients.

The practice enjoys the benefits of a purpose built, spacious building that has full disabled access. We believe in giving our patients the time and necessary explanations so that they can understand the nature of their illness. Our aim is to show how patients can help themselves to lead healthier lifestyles.

The Practice is fully computerised allowing us to maintain better records, helping control repeat prescriptions as well as having a major impact on preventative medicine.

The Quality Assurance and Improvement Framework (QAIF) became part of general practice contracts in 2021 (Formally known as QOF- Quality and Outcomes Framework 2004). Participation by practices is voluntary. Its an annual reward and incentive programme detailing GP practice achievement results.

QAIF awards surgeries achievement points for how well the practice is organised, managing some of the most common chronic diseases (e.g. Asthma, Diabetes), how patients view their experience at the surgery, access arrangement and the amount of extra services offered by the practice. Since 2004 Montgomery Surgery have nearly gained maximum points in all areas.

Zero Tolerance

In line with NHS policy, the practice has a zero tolerance approach to aggression, abuse, violence, vexatious or anti-social behaviour towards our staff.
